Glacial Age

On October 20th, 2022 we picked these grapes by hand with a team of family and friends. This day came after a long year of farming, where Satyr Fire performed all of the viticulture for these grapes beginning with pruning in January. We pressed the wine directly into two 350L neutral white wine barrels, where the wine fermented and then aged for 10 months. We stirred the barrels once per month throughout that time, drumming up spices, cream, and flowers around the pillar acidity of the dry Riesling. The resulting wine is stoic, fresh, and regenerative. It sings now with acidity and crisp savory notes, and develop well for decades.
