Oath of the Grove Trio

Three bottles of the Oath of the Grove Chardonnay.

This 2021 Chardonnay was grown on the north-facing side of the Dundee Hills AVA where chill winds and long shadows keep the small berries tight with acidity and flavor. The loose red clay erodes to display orange boulders beneath the topsoil, where these roots probe deep to find life source. The wine gives vivid aromatics of yellow flowers and ripe peach, and luscious, soft flavors of starfruit and cream. Bright, flinty acidity carries the wine down the long path of a forested grove, like a sprite through the woods. The wine spent 12 months in neutral french oak.
